There is nothing quite like seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger in the wild. These noble cats roam freely in the jungles of Bardia National Park, where you have the greatest potential of seeing one anywhere in Nepal. Tigers are elusive creatures. Unlike other jungle animals, they simply strut across the terrain, taking command of their surroundings. The sight of one will literally take your breath away as you watch them in all of their majesty.
Bardia National Park is located in far western Nepal. It is in Bardia that you have the greatest possibility of sighting the Royal Bengal Tiger. But there is much more to see and do than to watch for tigers. Bardia National Park is home to wild elephant herds. The park is home to the rare One-Horned Indian Rhinoceros as well as the endangered Gharial crocodile. There are many varieties of deer, plus a jungle full of colorful butterflies, birds, reptiles and more. Unlike its more popular counterpart at Chitwan, Bardia National Park is the one less visited because of its remote location. This means that you will have the opportunity to be one with nature, rather than sharing your surroundings with hundreds of tourists. Only in Bardia you do get a true sense of what the jungles of the Indian sub-continent were really like a century ago.The Bardia experience is like nothing else in all of the Indian sub-continent. Here you will meet the amazing Tharu people who have called these jungles home for centuries. They have learned how to live as one with the jungle creatures with their fascinating culture. This is the Ultimate Tiger Safari here at Bardia National Park. Himalayan Planet Adventure takes you deep into this jungle experience as you look for tigers, rhinos, elephants and much more. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the most amazing jungle scenes anywhere.
